High-energy, focused shock wave technology with PulseVet

For many years, the technology of PulseVet and its predecessor VersaTron, has been used successfully in the treatment of horses. The therapy has proven effective in several clinical trials to treat many indications, including wounds, tendon injuries, back pain and fractures.

The PulseVet technology

PulseVet uses electrohydraulic sound waves, these focused and high-energy shock waves can reach deep tissue. Locally, these waves trigger a tissue reaction. Multiple proteins, osteogenic and angiogenic growth factors and anti-inflammatory cytokines are released in the tissue. Bone and tissue growth are stimulated. In addition, the formation of new blood vessels leads to increased local blood flow. These processes inhibit inflammation and promote recovery.

The PulseVet device

The PulseVet ESWT system is a compact system that is easy to transport thanks to the included soft case. Through the preset programmes, an optimal treatment can easily be chosen. Of course, it is also possible to set programmes on the PulseVet system based on your own personal preferences.

The trodes for the PulseVet system

There are 4 different handpieces available for the PulseVet system, allowing optimal treatment of both superficial and deep tissues. The treatment protocols are shown in the image below.

The 5 mm trode is excellent for superficial injuries and wounds. The 20 mm trode is widely used to treat the lower foot and shoulder joint, among others. The 35 mm trode is used to treat the back and hip joint. The 80 mm trode has the greatest tissue penetration, up to 110 mm in depth. Because of these features, the PulseVet System penetrates deeper and reaches areas that many other techniques cannot reach.

Summary of PulseVet

The PulseVet System is user-friendly and easy to transport. The technology has long been used successfully in a wide variety of indications. The video below shows the advantages of the system once again:
