New: PulseVet
Pulsevet is the market leader in veterinary shock wave therapy. It is a non-invasive treatment involving delivery of shock waves to injured tissue to reduce pain and promote healing.
Shock wave therapy can be used in a wide variety of indication, including wounds, tendon injuries, back pain and fractures.
The PulseVet device uses high-energy sound waves, that reach a large amount of tissue. The physical impact of the shock wave are translated to complex biochemical signals in a process called mechanotransduction that lead to release of proteins and healing growth factors. These have a profound effect on decreasing inflammation, improving healing in tendon/ligament injuries, accelerating bone formation and enhancing wound healing. On request, Grovet can provide more scientific information on the mechanism of action and clinical results of shock wave therapy.
The PulseVet system can be used with different types of trodes, to provide optimal treatment for the patient. The traditional trodes are available in four sizes that differ in penetration depth, in the image below examples of treatment protocols are shown. The treatment is powerful and has long-lasting effects, only 1-3 treatments are often required for optimal results that can last for over 6 months.
