Besides these Vitamin E softgels we expanded our assortment with Vitamin E + Selenium softgels. This is a dietary supplement for horses in regular or intensive training. To maintain and support healthy muscle function and to protect cells from oxidative damage caused by free radicals.
Vitamin E and Selenium contribute in different ways to the elimination of free radicals. For optimal protection against oxidative damage, there must be sufficient uptake of Vitamin E and selenium. If the dietary content of Vitamin E and Selenium is insufficient, supplementation with Vitamine E (d-a-tocoferol) plus Selenium softgels is advised.
Both natural vitamin E (d-alfa-tocoferol) and organic selenium will be absorbed by the body sufficiently.

According to NRC (Nutrient Requirements for Horses) a horse of 500kg requires 1mg selenium per day. The recommend dosage is 2 softgels for a horse of 600kg.
Indications d'utilisation
Recommended dosage:
The dosage for a horse of 600 kg is 2 softgels per day.
In case of illness (selenium deficiency) or heavy work, this can be increased to 6 - 10 softgels per day.
It is not recommended to go much go much higher in the dosage, because selenium then becomes toxic. If a higher dosage of vitamin E is desired to this treatment Vitamin E softgels without selenium can be added to this treatment. Feeding instructions: orally, from hand or mixed with feed
Recommended feeding advice: Experience has shown that most horses will eat the softgels when they are added to their mash.

Additives (per softgel):
- 3a700 Vitamin E (d-α-tocopherol) 200 mg is equivalent to 300 IU Vitamin E
- 3b811 Selenized yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae NCYC R397 250 mg contains 0.5 mg of selenium
