MILA products for fluid therapy
Grovet is the Dutch distributor for MILA international. MILA is an innovative company that develops unique veterinary products. They have been doing this since the establishment in 1991. MILA's product range is broad, with products available for both companion animals and horses to help veterinarians in their daily work.
Animals admitted to the clinic often require fluid therapy. Sometimes complex combinations of fluids and drugs are required. MILA has developed several products to create an appropriate set-up.

IV administration sets and extension sets
The IV administration sets are available with various lengths, numbers of spikes and connectors. The infusion systems can be found on the following page: MILA IV administration range - Grovet.

Paniolo Hoof Support Soft

The Paniolo Hoof Support protects bruised soles and puncture wounds.
In combination with medicated gel, to treat corns.
Provides protection to a hoof that has lost a horseshoe.
Helps prevent rotation of the pedal bone on opposite limbs before or after surgery.
Paniolo Hoof Support does not cure the horse's laminitis, but makes it more comfortable and helps with rehabilitation. Always seek expert advice from your veterinarian and farrier.

HIGHLIGHTED PRODUCT: Psyllium

Our Black Psyllium is high in quality. Black Psyllium can be used to remove sand out of the gastrointestinal tract of horses.

In 2023 Proveto organizes the 17th edition of the Veterinary Sport Horse Congress in combination with Jumping Amsterdam. Sport Horse Vets from all over the globe will be heading to Amsterdam at the end of January to meet again, three years after the last succesfull edition in 2020.

What can the VMRD reader be used for?

The VMRD reader is compatible with a number of lateral flow tests, the feline and equine SAA test and in the near future an equine IgG foal test will be available. The results of the equine SAA test can be valuable in many occasions. It provides quantitative results in 10 minutes and can be used in field and hospital conditions .

Clinical Applications for Equine Serum Amyloid A (SAA)

In the image below, clinical applications for the equine SAA test are shown. It can be used to asses disease severity and the need for referral and/or surgery. It can also be used to assess the progression of the disease, the occurrence of complications and the need for therapy or changes in therapy. If an animal shows non-specific symptoms, the SAA test can give an indication of a possible cause (inflammation/infection).
