Ortoton Recordati film-coated tablets contain the active ingredient methocarbamol, a muscle relaxant and centrally acting agent. 

The mechanism of action of methocarbamol in humans has not been fully researched, but is based on a general depression of the central nervous system. It has no direct effect on the contraction of the striated muscles, motor endplate, or nerve fibers.
